I think I just shot myself in the foot
So, we have this adorbale, funny, beagle, named, Annie that we have had for over a year. (See our first post) Well, everything we have read about beagles tell us that they are pack dogs and Annie loves other dogs, for the most part. Just someone to hang out with, we all like that. Another dog that she could run around the back yard with. So we went to the pound to see what they had and we came home with "Goldie". The tag said she was part Dacshund, which we thought might be good, she wouldn't get too big and they are pretty social dogs. The longer we have her, which is a total of 2 days, the more I am convinced that she is more chiuaua than anything (not really a chiuaua fan) and on top of that Annie will pretty much have nothing to do with her. If Goldie is anywhere near an area Annie totally avoids it. She is only a 3 months old, the girls love her because they can carry her around and she licks their faces. I am worried that instead of getting someone to play with Annie we got another responsibility.

Goldie is much cuter than a chiuaua -- I don't like chiuauas either. Annie will eventually get used to her and tolerate her, I'm sure. Gueppe, our black cat, didn't like Gunther when we brought him home. It took a while, but they get along now. I wouldn't say they're best buds, but it could just be the cat/dog thing!
That is how sable and shas were also shas hated sable for like the first month, and now they are friends forever.
We are not big chiuaua fans either. I am sure they will get along better, just give it time. Good luck.
What a cute puppy. I'm sure it will just take some time.
They will get use to each other. We got our first cat and then a couple of weeks later we decided to get one of her sisters. They were together for the first eight weeks and it only took a couple for them not to know each other. They avoided each other for about a month and now they are always together.
