Back to Texas

Well, we have officially arrived here this morning at 4:00 am after some fun and exciting days in the car. The 1st day we drove to St. George, Utah. I have never been there before it is a very interesting city layed out in the rocky canyons. Very pretty. We stayed in a very new hotel, which was nice, since you never know what you are going to get when you book on line.
Then on day 2 we drove into Arizona and stopped at the Grand Canyon. Ok, well it is really not on the way, but we went there. On our way up to the north Rim we stopped for a bathroom break at Jacob's Lake. I took a picture for Mom, who worked there as a teenager.
Then that night we stayed in Phoenix, AZ with our friends Bill and Tina George. It was fun getting some more "Bill and Tina" stories. We miss hanging around them.
The following morning we met up with Chris's little, well younger, maybe not littler, brother, JD. The girls are always excited to see Uncle JD. Then we started on our heinious drive south.
It was a toasty 104 degrees today and we have not been used to that fun.
Our house is still here. We even found our cat, but, unfortunately most of our plants did not make it.
We had a great summer and will miss our family. Hopefully we can someday move alittle closer.
