So, Analise caught a goldfish at the Oakley 2nd ward 4th of July party which managed to stay alive until we left for Texas. she wanted to bring it with us, but I didn't know if I wanted to transport a 10 cent goldfish in a hot car for 3 days. So we decided to release it into the wild at Harris' pond (good bye Sunset) and we went to petsmart and bought her and Sage some gold fish. The sit in the center of the breakfast table so they can check on them every morning and watch them swim back and forth. sometimes I feel like I am in fishbowl and go back and forth to the same places every day without experiencing what is going on around me. Some of that is out of my control, some not. This summer helped me get out of my bowl for a while, now, I got plopped right back in. Here is a picture of Sammie and Freddie.

I hear ya on living in a bowl. We aren't very good at keeping pets alive. Hallie wants a Hermit crab, but I think they are gross. At least fish are easy and you don't have to touch them.
Our fish usually get flushed down the toliet dead or alive, I hate that they are kind of stinky.
Love the fish. we have a pond in the back yard and just went and got some new fish. some have died already, o'well.
